Getting to John F Kennedy Airport via I-95, is more difficult than taking the Merritt Parkway.
We would recommend you taking the Merritt Parkway rather than Interstate 95 if at all possible.
But if you want, here's the directions from I-95
Connecticut to New York, via I-95>> Get on Interstate 95 towards New York.
Follow it all the way into the Bronx and Exit 7B towards Interstate 678. (Which is the Bruckner Expressway.) When you get to that spiderweb of interstates, you have got to take the Hutchinson River Parkway / I-295 to 678. (You have got to get on Interstate 678 going south to get on the other side of the Whitestone bridge.)
Once you get on the other side of the Whitestone bridge the Interstate is going to split. You need to take Interstate 678 and you will see signs for JFK International Airport.
Once you are on Interstate 678 stay in the center lane so you won't accidentally Exit somewhere. Interstate 678 will eventually dead-end at John F. Kennedy Airport.
